WELCOME TO GIGI'S JOURNEY

 Bridget Waltz Sievers ( Gigi ) is a born traveler, from many states in the USA, to Brazil,( 8 months) France, Turkey, she was always looking a new journey. Then in the summer of 2018, Gigi started a journey that wasn't planned or desired. This journey took all of our breaths away, a diagnosis of Neuroendocrine Cancer!

My name is Ron Waltz, I am Gigi's Father. I am starting this blog for the primary purpose of sharing the story of an incredibly brave women who has handled this challenge with Grace, Dignity, Courage, Faith and yes, even Joy and Gratitude! Additionally, I would like to share the story from a Father's perspective. Cancer is disease that effects the most loving of families in a multitudes of ways. We are not special, we struggle greatly, sometimes close to despair, but we recover and continue on. And, yes we even belly laugh!

This will also serve as place to catch up where we are medically. Our apologies to friends and family for the silence of the last two years. You can imagine how lost we were, but we are getting more grounded each day and want to keep you informed, so please register for post updates below!

Neuroendocrine Cancer is still in the rare disease category. There are fixes but no cure at this time. So we are actively working to create awareness to get additional research so we can find a cure. So, Please support this blog and pass it on to others to spread the word!

Lastly, this is an opportunity to give back. I read something that moved me recently;

" When you are waiting on God, get busy and serve!" There is a lot of waiting on God with Cancer, lots of unanswered questions! As we wait, this is my way to serve, by sharing our experiences with folks out there who are struggling in the same manner!
